What is the difference between worldly love and godly love

Love is a feeling. Love is about those around me. Love is all about me. Love is unconditional. Love is a commitment. Love is a phase. Love is about giving. Love is about getting. Love is about serving. Love is about receiving. Love is about physical, emotional, and spiritual intimacy. Love is about sex. Love focuses on meeting the needs of those around me.

Love focuses on getting my own needs met. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

There are many things that Biblical loves pushes a person not to do. Biblical love sets boundaries. The boundaries are for our own good. Persons practicing Biblical love understand the physical differences between men and women and take safe guards to live a pure Christ honoring life.

Guys are sexually motivated by sight and girls more by relationships. By the way you dress or the way you touch a person you can cause that person to commit the sin of lust. The Bible makes it clear that is a sin to cause sexual arousal that cannot be righteously satisfied. Sex outside of marriage in any form is not blessed of God. The Biblical boundaries of love are safeguards to marriage. Being faithful to your spouse in marriage builds life-long trust. In the view of many people today God has been humanized. His hatred is pure, tempered, excellent, and righteous. At the same time, you need to take care that you do not dispense with a Truth from the Bible that is simply counter-intuitive to your limited understanding.

The gospel is bittersweet. You are more sinful and flawed than you ever imagined or allowed yourself to ponder without self-hatred which is more sin. When a marriage gets tough people tend to divorce, when our favorite shoes wear out we throw them away, when something is broke we simply replace it with something new. This is the exact opposite of Gods Unconditional love for us.
